Grinding, staining, and sintering process Dec 27, 2022

After the design and milling of the zirconia block are completed, it comes to the important part of molar and sintering.

The following are some tips about the operation process, hope it can help you:

  1. Remember to put the discs into the corresponding boxes after milling to avoid confusion affecting future milling.
  2. Grinding teeth: Handle with care. The zirconia block and the dental micromotor must rotate at a uniform speed. Do not vibrate, or it will make the crown crack. The support column must be ground flat without overhangs. (Note: The crown is fragile and should be placed carefully, and a dust mask should be worn for molar cleaning and vacuuming)
  3. Blow the crown with an air blower to clean the dust on the surface and inside of the crown to avoid polluting the dyed water.
  4. Find the corresponding crown model and dye it according to the color required by the doctor. The color of the inner crown should be slightly lighter than required to avoid being too dark and heavy in the later stage. The full zirconium crown can be dyed according to the corresponding color.
  5. To dry the crown, put it into the sintering tray and put it in the dryer for about 20-25 minutes before taking it out.
  6. Put it into the sintering furnace and place it in the central area, which can be sintered in two layers.
  7. Select the sintering program

(Note: The sintering procedure includes fast-burning and slow-burning procedures, and generally slow-burning is the main method. Fast sintering can only be used for single crowns, 3-4 unit bridges, and long bridges must be sintered at a slow speed to achieve a good result. Don’t forget to clean up the dust in the furnace in time to avoid polluting the furnace, and use the self-cleaning procedure of the sintering furnace to clean regularly.)
